Style that cannot be ignored

“In the beginning was a pipe dream”. That was until the dream came true at NOLDEN in 2007. We were one of the first vendors to offer retrofittable LED daytime running light tubes. However, the installation situation on vehicle front ends is never flat or at the right angle. We have therefore developed a portfolio of daytime running lights that caters to the geometries of front ends in most cases. It is only when the daytime running light has the correct contour that it won't look out of place and always appear factory-fitted.

With the following daytime running light variants, we cover 95 % of all possible contours on today's vehicle front ends:

All models come with modern light guide technology, powder-coated die-cast aluminium housing and the relevant ECE, SAE and EMC approval.

A brief technical note

Determining the correct installation position of a daytime running light is not so difficult. Correct installation is defined by the X axis of the vehicle. On NCC® LED daytime running lights, the heat sink on the rear side can always be used as the plane of reference. When this runs flush with the X axis, the orientation of the light is correct. This does not apply to daytime running lights of round build, where the “TOP” marking on the lens is definitive.

 

Rotation about X axis
The permissible rotation about the vehicle's longitudinal axis is given in degrees. This rotation must have been explicitly approved and recorded in the documentation for the light.

  • NCC® X-Line Light Guide

    NCC® X-Line Light Guide LED daytime running lights

    The NCC® "X-LINE" Light Guide multifunction light is impressive due to its dimensions. LED fiber optic technology is of course included — this guarantees very homogeneous lighting for the daytime running lights and position lights. 2D drawings, 3D CAD data and other data available on request.

  • NCC® Short Line 3

    NCC® Short Line 3 LED multifunction light

    The NCC® Short Line 3 LED multifunctional light is a real all-rounder, which has been in use by our customers for many years. The property of 360° rotation and the dimensions make this luminaire absolutely universally applicable. The latest LED light guide technology is of course included. Optionally also available as a multifunction light, daytime running light and turn signal light or pure turn signal light. The inner panel is available in chrome or black finishes.
